Delivery Instructions
Last Updated: [Date]
These Delivery Instructions outline how flooring orders are delivered by Vermont Tiles and what customers need to know to ensure smooth, successful delivery.
1. Delivery Method
Flooring products are delivered using trusted shipping partners such as:
- Freight carriers (for large/palletized flooring orders)
- Standard parcel carriers (for smaller items)
You will receive an email with tracking information once your order has shipped.
2. Delivery Appointment (For Freight Deliveries)
For large flooring orders, carriers may:
- Call you to schedule a delivery appointment
- Provide a delivery window (e.g., 2–4 hours)
Please ensure someone is present at the delivery location during the scheduled time.
3. Residential Curbside Delivery
Most freight orders are delivered curbside, meaning:
- The driver will bring the pallet to the end of your driveway or curb
- Drivers do not bring flooring inside your home
- You are responsible for moving materials inside
If you require inside delivery, please contact us—additional fees may apply.
4. Customer Responsibilities
Upon delivery, the customer must:
- Inspect all flooring boxes before signing
- Check for visible damage
- Count all boxes to ensure the full order arrived
- Note any issues on the carrier’s delivery receipt
Failure to note damage may affect eligibility for replacements or claims.
5. Damaged or Missing Items
If you notice damage:
- Take clear photos of the damage
- Write “DAMAGED” on the delivery receipt
- Refuse only the damaged portion (if possible)
- Contact us within 24–48 hours at support@vermonttiles.com / +1 (832) 345-5548
We will arrange replacements or file a claim with the carrier.
6. Delivery Timeframes
Estimated delivery times:
- Standard orders: 3 to 5 business days
- Freight deliveries: 3 to 5 business days
- Custom/Backordered items: additional time may apply
Delivery times may vary due to carrier delays, weather, or high volume.
7. Incorrect Shipping Address
Customers are responsible for providing accurate delivery details.
If an address is incorrect or incomplete:
- Delivery may be delayed
- Re-delivery or address correction fees may apply
Please double-check your address before completing your order.
8. Signature Required
For most flooring deliveries, a signature is required to confirm:
- The order has been received
- Visible condition of the products
- Box count matches the delivery receipt
If you cannot be present, arrange for someone (18+) to sign on your behalf.
9. Limited Access Locations
Some locations may require special arrangements, including:
- Condo/apartment complexes
- Gated neighborhoods
- Remote or rural areas
- Limited access roads
Additional fees may apply depending on the carrier’s policies.
10. Weather & Environmental Conditions
Flooring products must be protected from:
- Moisture
- Extreme heat or cold
- Direct sunlight
If your order must wait outside temporarily, store it in a shaded, safe area.
